How far is the Hotel Erb from Bavaria Filmstadt?

Our hotel is conveniently located in the east of Munich (Parsdorf). By car, it usually takes only about 20 to 30 minutes to reach the film studio in Geiselgasteig via the highway (A99). This means you can start your adventure relaxed and without having to contend with heavy city traffic.

Can I get the tickets directly at the hotel?

Yes, you will receive your tickets (or vouchers) conveniently at our reception desk when you check in. This means you don’t have to queue at the ticket office on site. Important: Please check the opening hours and tour start times on the Bavaria Filmstadt website in advance so that you can plan your day optimally.

Of course! Our wellness area is there for those seeking relaxation—and that includes families. We only ask that you be considerate of other guests’ relaxation in the “Stille Alm” relaxation room and in the saunas. After an exciting day, a little rest is good for the little ones too!

What does “all-you-can-eat ice cream” include?

This is the highlight for our little VIPs: your children can order or help themselves to ice cream to their heart’s content – as much as they can eat. Perfect as a dessert or a little refreshment between meals.

What happens if my child doesn’t like the 3-course meal?

Don’t worry, we cater to families. While you enjoy the “Feel-Good Menu,” the children can choose their favorites from our special children’s menu (e.g., schnitzel, pasta, etc.). We have something for every taste!

Are dogs allowed in the hotel and in the film city?

Your four-legged friend is welcome at the Hotel Erb (for a fee). Dogs are allowed on the grounds of Bavaria Filmstadt on a leash, but not in the attractions, shows, or 4D cinema. For full movie enjoyment, we therefore recommend leaving your dog to relax in the cool hotel room, if possible.

Getting there without a car: Relaxed travel to Filmstadt by public transport

Want to avoid Munich’s city traffic or have you arrived by train? No problem! You can conveniently leave your car in our hotel parking lot. The journey to Filmstadt by public transport (MVV) turns into a little sightseeing tour through the south of Munich.

How to get there:

Start right outside our front door at the “Parsdorf, Posthalterring” bus stop.
Your first destination is the Munich subway or commuter rail network (we will be happy to help you at the reception desk with the fastest connection via bus or commuter rail).
The most important part: no matter which route you take, head for Max-Weber-Platz or Wettersteinplatz.
There, you board tram line 25. This tram takes you through the beautiful villa district of Grünwald directly to the gates of Hollywood.
Exit: Bavariafilmplatz stop. From there, it is only a few steps to the main entrance.

Our tip: Download the “MVV app” or “München Navigator” to your cell phone. Enter “Bavariafilmplatz, Grünwald” as your destination and the app will show you the best route from “Parsdorf” with minute-by-minute accuracy.
