Once upon a time… That’s how many stories begin. Including that of the Hotel Erb in the east of Munich.
As a family business, we are proud of our past. To this day, we strive to offer our guests extra comfort and service.
At the end of 1960, Jakob Erb and his daughter Rosa Maria opened their newly built guest house in tranquil Parsdorf. The suburb in the east of Munich belongs to the municipality of Vaterstetten. Thanks to its convenient location, all important facilities and sights in the state capital of Munich are within easy reach. The location on the outskirts of Munich is also an ideal starting point for excursions in the region.
The Gästehaus Erb impressed early on with the highest level of comfort. The hotel’s amenities included a bowling alley, swimming pool and sauna. Even then, the 20 guest rooms were equipped with their own bathroom and telephone. This quiet touch of luxury and Rosa Maria Erb’s charming Bavarian hospitality made her guest house a magnet for visitors from far beyond the Bavarian metropolis.
The Gästehaus Erb was equally appreciated by business travelers from the region and visitors from all over the world. Due to its close proximity to Munich Riem Airport, many crews were also among the guests.
Tadition, Charme und Herzblut
It takes more than a drink to be an exceptional bar. It’s the guests who make it an experience! At Rosis Bar you can feel the Bavarian hospitality. Whether for an aperitif before a meal at the Almgrill, a nightcap with friends or refreshing cocktails for two. Rosis Bar is not only legendary, but also “the place to be” in Parsdorf.
There used to be a TV room that Rosi, as she was nicknamed, had lovingly furnished. There was a black and white TV and two large tables for evening entertainment. Guests were served large quantities of Andechs bottled beer and fruit schnapps from Lake Constance. Good atmosphere included.
“Only 2cl? That’s for the hollow tooth!”
Rosi was always of the opinion that a 2cl shot glass was “something for the hollow tooth”. Anyone who unknowingly sat in the landlady’s seat had to buy a round of drinks. These and many other anecdotes show how cheerful things used to be in the Erb guest house.
We are proud to continue this carefree atmosphere of the early years in our Best Western Plus Hotel Erb to this day. Rosi was only happy when her guests were happy. As passionate hosts, we hold on to this tradition. Our daily endeavor is to always give the best. Enjoy unforgettable moments!
Rosi’s little journey through time – her guest house becomes the Hotel Erb
Rosi ran her guesthouse for 20 years with bravura, warmth and her typical Bavarian hospitality. You came as a stranger and left as a friend – many visitors became regular guests and were closely associated with our house for many years. In 1988, the time had come for a change and it was time to move on to new shores. The foundation stone for today’s Hotel Erb with 20 rooms was laid on Posthalterring in Parsdorf. Ten years later, Rosi’s son, Christian Erb, took over the property.
Demand was high, so the hotel was continuously expanded. New rooms were added, including the elegant comfort rooms. Enjoy modern rooms in various categories that have one thing in common: A sense of well-being in Mediterranean style.
Thanks to its convenient location close to the freeway, Munich Airport and the Munich Trade Fair Center with the International Congress Center Munich (ICM), we decided to position the hotel on the market as an event location and conference hotel.
The seminar and conference rooms are available in different sizes and some have their own sun terrace for a coffee break in the countryside. Light-flooded rooms, state-of-the-art conference technology and professional support ensure a successful event. Our event professionals will be happy to assist you with the selection of our conference packages, catering and attractive supporting programs for the entire team.
After a meeting, excursion or shopping in the city, well-being should not be neglected. At the 4-star Best Western Plus Hotel Erb, the Plus stands for well-being. Relax in the hotel’s own Almdorf SPA with five saunas, steam bath and other offers for vitalization. In the fitness room, you can train your body on modern TechnoGym® fitness equipment. In 2002, we decided to join the Best Western brand category. Since 2012, we have even been offering maximum comfort as a Best Western Plus Hotel and were one of the first hotels in Germany to do so. As a Best Western Plus Hotel, Hotel Erb guarantees its guests special facilities and a service that sets the hotel apart from regular Best Western hotels and other establishments. It is important that no wish remains unfulfilled for business travelers and holidaymakers alike. Today we have 123 rooms and suites with all the feel-good features.

Today, the Best Western Plus Hotel Erb is not only a popular venue for meetings, seminars and conferences, but we are also booming during trade fairs. We regularly furnish product suites for our guests, which are used for trade fair presentations. Our own in-house team is dedicated to ensuring that your business event is a complete success.
Hotel Erb is also a popular venue for celebrations. We host company parties and Christmas parties for companies, organize your kick-off party and, of course, also cater for private celebrations. Our location is particularly popular with wedding couples. You can celebrate them with us in Bavarian style, even with a marching band and a grand finale in one of our suites!
The ALMGRILL restaurant opens its doors
Hotel Erb celebrated its 50th birthday in 2018. No wonder we chose this year to open our Almgrill restaurant. The grill restaurant with Bavarian and international specialties is perfect if you want to enjoy a dinner that no one else in the region can offer.
The Almgrill serves meat, fish and vegetarian specialties from the Josper Grill, which uses a special technique and vegetable charcoal to create a particularly delicate aroma. In the morning, our hotel guests enjoy breakfast in the restaurant designed by the Erb family in a modern, Alpine style. We also open the Almgrill on selected Sundays and public holidays for a brunch that leaves nothing to be desired.

Christian and Xenia Erb are the third generation to run Rosis Gasthaus, which is now part of the renowned Best Western Plus chain.
