Here you will find an overview of frequently asked questions about the Hotel Erb, the Almgrill restaurant and the hotel’s own wellness area, as well as helpful tips for arrival and departure and acitvities during your stay in the beautiful city of Munich.

Frequently asked questions about arrival & departure at Hotel Erb

How are the check-in and check-out times? Your room will be available from 3.00 p.m. onwards. On the day of departure, we kindly ask you to check out the room for cleaning by 12.00 p.m.
Is the reception available around the clock? Yes. However, if you are sure to arrive after 11.00 p.m., please contact us in advance.
Is there a possibility to check in earlier? Yes. Early check-in is possible from 11.00 a.m. for a fee of 20.00 Euros and can be requested when booking.
Is there a possibility for a check out later than 12.00 p.m.? Yes. For an extra charge of 20.00 Euros, you can extend your stay until 2.00 p.m. on the day of departure (if possible). You can already select a late departure when booking your room.
Are there parking facilities available at the hotel? We have a paid car park directly in front of the hotel (10 Euros per day and vehicle) and a large car park across the road from the hotel. Parking is free of charge and subject to availability.
Is there a charging station for electric vehicles directly at the hotel? Unfortunately, there is no charging station for electric vehicles directly at the hotel, yet. But you will find one only 2 minutes away from the hotel (800m):
Tesla Supercharger (250.00 kW; 18 units); Am Lerchenfeld 8, 85599 Vaterstetten, right next to McDonald's and KFC.
How can I reach the hotel by public transport? At Munich Central Station, take the S-Bahn S2 in direction Erding.
After 25 minutes you will reach the station "Grub".
During weekdays the bus 452 drives - leave at the busstop "Posthalterring Parsdorf". From here it is a two-minute walk to the hotel.
On Sundays and public holidays as well as beyond the regular bus times, we offer a hotel shuttle service to pick you up.
Is there a hotel shuttle to the next S-Bahn station? On request, we will be happy to drive you to the next S-Bahn station Grub, based on availability and outside the bus times.
How do I get to the Munich Airport by public transport? The bus stop "Posthalterring Parsdorf" is a 2 minute walk away from the hotel.
On weekdays, the bus 452 drives to the next S-Bahn station "Grub".
From "Grub" take the train S2 in direction "Petershausen" or "Altomünster" to the station "Leuchtenbergring".
Change there to the "S8 Flughafen München" and continue to the terminal station "Flughafen München".
On Sundays and public holidays, as well as outside the regular bus times, we offer a hotel shuttle service to take you to the S-Bahn.
Is there a hotel shuttle from/to the airport? We don't have an airport shuttle. However, we offer a hotel shuttle to the next S-Bahn station in Grub. From there, you can easily reach Munich Airport.
How much does a taxi from/to the airport cost? A taxi from/to the airport usually costs 80 -100 Euros. If you need a taxi from/to the airport, please contact us. We will order one for you at special rates.
How do I reach the city centre by public transport? The bus stop "Posthalterring Parsdorf" is a 2 minute walk away from the hotel.

From "Grub" take the train S2 in direction "Petershausen" or "Altomünster".
In about 20 minutes you can reach the bus stop Marienplatz, where the city centre of Munich is located.
On Sundays and public holidays, as well as outside the regular bus times, we offer a hotel shuttle service to take you to the S-Bahn.
Is there a storage facility for bicycles at Hotel Erb? You can store your bicycles free of charge in a locked room in the house.

Frequently asked questions about hotel facilities & rooms

Are dogs allowed? You are welcome to bring your dog for an extra charge of 10,00 Euros per night & per dog.
Is there air-conditioning in the rooms? Yes, each of our rooms is equipped with air-conditioning
Do you have rooms with a bathtub? The Superior category offers rooms with bathtub. Please note in your booking or contact us if you prefer a bathtub.
Do you have rooms without carpet? Yes. We have rooms with carpeted floors and rooms with plain vinyl floors.
Do you have smoking rooms? All our rooms are non-smoking rooms. In case you are smoking, you can book a balcony room.
Is the hotel barrier-free? Thanks to Universal Design, the hotel is barrier-free. Rooms for the disabled can be provided on request and a lift is available to access the other floors easily.
Are there any special offers for room decoration and surprising arrangements? Yes, you can choose from various add-ons for special surprises such as romantic room decorations, little extras in the room, breakfast in bed or birthday specials during room booking.
Is there a lift in the hotel? Yes, there is a lift in the hotel so you can easily access other floors.

Questions about the Almgrill restaurant, breakfast & brunch at Hotel Erb

Can I bring my dog into the restaurant? Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed in the restaurant. But you are welcome to take your dog to the bar area for breakfast and dinner.
Are there gluten-free and lactose-free dishes? Yes, we offer both gluten-free food and lactose-free food as well as drinks at our breakfast buffet. If you cannot find what you are looking for, please ask our staff.
Do you offer packed lunch? You are welcome to receive your breakfast in form of a packed lunch. You can also have this if you are departing at night.

The most frequently asked questions about our wellness area - Almdorf Spa

What are the opening hours of the wellness area? Monday to Sunday from 3.00 p.m. to 11.00 p.m.
Can I use the wellness area free of charge? The use of the wellness area is included for ALL guests of the Best Western Plus Hotel Erb. Guests of our sister boutique hotel pay 5.00 euros per person and per day.
Is the wellness area also available for use without an existing room booking? Guests from outside the hotel are welcome to use our Day Spa after availability for a price of EUR 25.00 per person. Prior telephone registration is required.
Does the hotel have a fitness area? Yes, there is a fitness area. It is open 24 hours a day for our guests.
Does the wellness area have a swimming pool? No, there is no swimming pool in our wellness area.
Are children allowed in the sauna? No. The entire wellness area is a textile-free area and only accessible from the age of 16.
Do you offer massages and/or beauty treatments? No, we do not offer massages or beauty treatments.
Do you have bathrobes or slippers? Bathrobes and slippers are available at the reception desk to our hotel guests for a deposit during their stay.
Non-resident guests of the Day Spa can purchase a bathrobe for a rental fee of 5.00 euros per person and slippers for a one-time fee of 2.00 euros per person.
We are mindful of acting in an environmentally friendly manner and using available resources responsibly.
Part of this is waste avoidance. Therefore, please take your own bathing shoes or slippers with you. Thus we make a valuable small contribution to protect our environment.

How do I get to Therme Erding by public transport? The bus stop "Posthalterring Parsdorf" is a 2 minute walk away from the hotel.
On weekdays, the bus 452 drives to the next S-Bahn station "Grub".
From "Grub" take the train S2 in direction "Erding".
In about 20 minutes you will reach the station "Altenerding".
From there you can reach the Therme Erding via the signposted footpath in approx. 20 minutes or choose one of the bus connections from Altenerding station: 550 (Monday to Friday) and 570 (Saturday, Sundays and public holidays).
Where can I hike near the hotel? There are beautiful hiking areas around Munich. The Tegernsee or the Ebersberger Forst are very beautiful, as they are not far away and you can hike beautifully. There are also beautiful paths through the nearby forest directly in Parsdorf.
